Revolutionizing Oral Health Through Innovation

Global Hub for Future Dentistry is a specialized incubation programme jointly developed by HKU Faculty of Dentistry, HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Core (TEC), and Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP). This programme is the first of its kind in Hong Kong, specifically designed to drive dental innovations and entrepreneurship while fostering dentistry research translation and commercialization. The partnership combines world-class dental research facilities and expertise with comprehensive startup support to develop Hong Kong as a global dental innovation hub.

Research post-graduates, young researchers, and dental professionals are particularly welcome to explore their innovative ideas through this collaborative programme. We also encourage dental students and practitioners to convert innovative projects into real-world business ventures. Global Hub for Future Dentistry will offer comprehensive support in entrepreneurship education, startup building, and exposure to realize and commercialize dental innovations into viable startups, with HKU Faculty of Dentistry providing world-class research expertise and clinical trial support, HKU TEC offering entrepreneurial supports, and HKSTP serving as the largest I&T Hub in Hong Kong with robust startup ecosystem, structured incubation programme and funding opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements

HKU Faculty of Dentistry

To be eligible for the Global Hub for Future Dentistry, applicants must meet the following criteria. We welcome applications from individuals, teams, and early-stage companies. The proposed project must focus on innovation within the dental or oral health sectors.

Principal Applicant Requirement

The primary applicant or at least one core team member must be a professional in the dental or a related healthcare industry.

Individuals

We invite applications from dental professionals, researchers, postgraduate students, and final-year undergraduate students who have an innovative idea or project related to dentistry.

Teams

Multi-disciplinary teams are highly encouraged to apply. Your team should have a clear focus on developing solutions for dental technology, oral health, or dental care services.

Companies

Early-stage startups (e.g., less than two years old and pre-Series A funding) focused on dental technology are welcome. Your company should be seeking to leverage the unique combination of HKU's world-class dental research and HKSTP's robust incubation support.
